Drs. Cliburn Chan and Georgia Tomaras established the Center for Human Systems Immunology (CHSI) as part of the vision of Translating Duke Health to build an interdisciplinary research community of basic, clinical, and quantitative scientists to accelerate cutting-edge and transformative research in human immunology. With this research community, the CHSI utilizes advanced immunological technologies and computational methods to advance immune-facing clinical trials and is focused on the development of new methods for trauma, infection, and transplant-focused clinical studies.
