Join us for the next Duke Climate Collaboration Symposium, which aims to foster cross-sectoral partnerships and showcase Duke's leadership in climate tech innovation. The symposium will highlight innovative climate tech addressing the blue economy, energy transition, built environment, material science, climate and health, and climate AI.
By convening academic researchers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurial partners, the event seeks to strengthen ties between research and real-world application. The program will feature two components: a public-facing showcase and reception on Tuesday, January 27, open to students, faculty, and industry experts, and an invitation-only workshop on Wednesday, January 28, designed to help Duke researchers and stakeholders identify commercialization opportunities and best practices for successful university-industry partnerships.
From 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. on January 27, attendees will gather in Geneen Auditorium at the Fuqua School of Business for lightning talks from five experts across Duke as they showcase current research technologies. The talks will provide insights into the different pathways towards commercial opportunity and industry partnership, and how best to support your own entrepreneurial journey to success. A networking reception and company expo will follow the showcase from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Kirby Winter Garden. Registration is required.
In the private, invitation-only workshop on January 28 (9 a.m.-3 p.m.), researchers, innovation partners, and other stakeholders will dive into the details of commercialization pathways, best practices, and resources. The agenda will include panel and facilitated discussions, as well as breakout rooms and a networking lunch.
