Food systems everywhere are affected by changes in climate and our environments. Studies have shown that CO2 emissions reduce nutritional density on core crops. Shifting weather patterns affect planting and harvest cycles, while flooding and drought destroy crops and significantly reduce agricultural yield. Microplastics are increasingly identified throughout our food supply.
This Think Global panel will highlight some of the unexpected ways that our food systems are being impacted by a changing world. Panelists will share how food sources have been affected within the communities where they work, addressing both agricultural and manufacturing conditions that influence how critical nutrition is delivered.
