Duke community members, you're invited to connect with Duke alumna Alison Taylor, A.B.'83, the university's newest Climate Leader in Residence. Taylor--who majored in biology at Duke--is chief sustainability officer for ADM, a global leader in innovative solutions from nature, and is one of the longest-tenured chief sustainability officers in the country. She previously worked in policy on Capitol Hill for more than a dozen years. During a fireside chat with Nicholas Institute director Brian Murray, Taylor will discuss corporate sustainability, including what it looks like when done right and how it's evolved over her time in the space. She'll also talk about the promise of nature-based solutions for addressing climate resilience, including insights gleaned from her tenure at global infrastructure and technology company Siemens and from regenerative agriculture efforts she's advanced at ADM. And she'll offer career reflections and advice for students, drawn from her policy and corporate experience. The event will also include time for audience Q&A, as well as a networking reception with food and drink. Advance registration is required: duke.is/climateconvo
