Nitasha Menon is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Duke Center for Human Systems Immunology Laboratory, led by Dr. Georgia Tomaras in the Department of Surgery at Duke University School of Medicine.
During her Ph.D. research at Amrita University and UC San Diego, Nitasha studied alternative strategies to target multidrug resistant bacterial pathogens with an emphasis on host-pathogen interactions. Her areas of interest include adaptive immune responses to Group A Strep (Streptococcus pyogenes) and immunoassay development to aid in the determination of immune correlates of protection. Nitasha’s work is in collaboration with the iSpy-EXPLORE Network supported by the Leducq Foundation.
